Communication via a single centralized node at Alpha

The first and main goal was to integrate the company's internal processes and to set up the data exchange with TIER1 and OEM customers. EDITEL suggested the use of the IBM Sterling B2B Integrator in order to implement the communication requirements defined by Alpha Vehicle Security Solutions Czech s.r.o. It offers a universal B2B software integration tool that supports a number of communication protocols and EDI standards, enabling a close connection with the previous solution and thus a gradual transition of processes from the original solution to the IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.

IBM Sterling B2B Integrator for Alpha

As a centralized B2B and EAI integration platform for Alpha Vehicle Security Solutions Czech s.r.o, the IBM Sterling B2B Integrator allows for comprehensive business process management, data transfer and monitoring. This solution consolidates the existing, often inhomogeneous environment into a central data transfer platform and makes business partner connection management easier thanks to various communication protocols and traffic monitoring throughout the company.

The company processes ASN, INVOIC, ORDERS, and DELFOR messages. ASN delivery notes are translated from VDA4987 to PDF format and offered to users for download or printing. Invoices are translated from VDA4938 format to html display preview and the user receives an e-mail notification right after the new invoice was saved. DELFOR messages are delivered in the positional VDA4905 format and then translated into html display preview. A specially designed html preview was created for order processing which allows the user to select the incoming data from individual fields and copy them to ERP.

"EDITEL performed a full solution installation. Other tasks were implemented after the basic integration environment became operational. Thanks to this project, we will be able to address our internal and external processes in line with our information systems via a single centralized node – the IBM Sterling B2B Integrator. We plan to transfer all communication processes with Alpha Vehicle Security Solutions Czech s.r.o partners to the OFTP2 protocol in the future," said Jiří Kalous, IT /EDI/Tec Manager.
